YLI welcomes new Database Coordinator

Becca Ferguson joins York Literacy Institute (YLI) as our new Database Coordinator.

Becca will be making sure we have all the data organized for the grants that keep us going! She has always had a passion for helping others, especially those who are learning English as a Second Language. In High School, Becca did volunteer work in Honduras and was a student assistant to the middle school ESL teacher, providing one-on-one support to students newly entering the country. Since then, Becca has traveled to Ecuador, done volunteer teaching as well as data entry, and is a part-time local hairdresser. Using her Spanish speaking skills and being part of a team that is contributing so much to the community brings her joy.

Welcome, Becca!
