YLI welcomes new Director of Development
Kristen Wilson joins York Literacy Institute (YLI) as our new Director of Development.

Originally from Rhode Island, Kristen earned her undergraduate degree in Communications from Penn State. After college, she returned home, completed a Master’s in Early Childhood Education, then taught preschool, married, and raised five children. Throughout the years, she has volunteered with and led a variety of groups geared toward food security, education, and parenting. In 2016, Kristen began a career in fundraising at a university, where for nine years she had the privilege of raising funds that helped students access and afford a college education. Now that she is back in Pennsylvania, she is excited to apply her experiences and fundraising skills to foster education and literacy in York County. In her spare time, Kristen enjoys hiking with her husband of 33 years and their dog, spending time with family, reading, baking, and creating textile art.
Welcome, Kristen!
