Thanks to support from several generous donors, York Literacy Institute is able to provide financial scholarship awards to students each year. Below is an overview of the various funds, who supports them, what they can be used for, award amounts, and timing of donations and disbursements.

 SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

 York Literacy Institute currently awards three named scholarships through an application and review process.

The Ball Foundation Scholarship Fund provides $1,000.00 to make a single full award or two $500 scholarships to current or former York Literacy Institute students to support tuition and other costs (books, school supplies, etc.) for a student focusing on education in a healthcare field.

 The Beatrice & Henry Blatner Scholarship Fund provides $1,000.00 to make a single full award or two $500 scholarships to current or former York Literacy Institute students to support tuition costs in any field of post-secondary or skilled trade education.

 The Mike and Rita Hewitt Scholarship Fund provides scholarships of up to $500 to a current or former York Literacy Institute student for tuition, supplies needed in studies, or supplies needed for employment.
