Celebrate Success!

Our Annual Celebrate Success event took place in December at the Out Door Country Club in York. The event was a heartwarming recognition of the many individuals whose contributions have propelled the organization forward, as well as a celebration of its adult learners’ remarkable achievements. The evening was filled with inspiring moments that showcased both the dedication of the staff and volunteers and the perseverance of the students who have worked hard to overcome challenges and reach their goals.
One of the highlights of the evening was Megan Eichelberger’s inspirational speech. Megan earned her High School Equivalency Certificate at age 25. She shared her journey to achieving this milestone and the positive impact it has had on her life. Her personal story resonated deeply with the audience, serving as a testament to the challenges often faced by adult learners and the dedication it takes to succeed.
Additionally, our Literacy Empowerment Campaign Chair, Frank Dittenhafer, added a thoughtful perspective on the importance of community support in nurturing literacy and personal growth, further emphasizing the collective effort behind the organization’s mission.
The event also took a moment to honor Alice Muldrow, who was recognized for her incredible seven years of service as a board member and her long-standing commitment as a volunteer with YLI. Her contributions have left an indelible mark on the organization, inspiring others to get involved. Overall, Celebrate Success was an enjoyable evening that not only recognized individual accomplishments but also fostered a sense of community and gratitude among all attendees.
